Knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied. Síol Feasa means “seed of knowledge” in Irish. It is a free campaign from Hanlon Creative Press to support numeracy and literacy in Ireland, with a new free resource every second Monday for students, teachers and families.

Síol Feasa launched on Monday 12 October 2026, during Maths Week. Every resource is free to use in the classroom and at home, now and later.

Give back

Share high-quality learning resources, free of charge, with every student in Ireland.

Numeracy and literacy

Build the Maths and English skills students use in every subject and in every exam.

Every student

Clear and simple English, worked examples, and extra support for students who are learning English.

Our objectives

What Síol Feasa sets out to do

  • Publish a new free resource every fortnight, alternating between numeracy and literacy.
  • Help Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students understand exactly what exam questions ask.
  • Give teachers ready-to-use resources they can share with a class.
  • Keep every resource accurate, clear and checked before it is published.

A note from the founder

Why I started Síol Feasa

Oide Rolando Hanlon, founder of Hanlon Creative Press

I am Oide Rolando Hanlon, a qualified post-primary teacher of Mathematics, Spanish, Business and Computing, with experience in the State Examinations, in industry and in research.

My long-term mission is to give back to the community by supporting literacy and numeracy in Ireland. I found my purpose in helping students in my own way, with my own style and skills. If I can do that, I feel it is a life worth living.

I truly believe students reach their full potential when good teaching is combined with new teaching methodologies and the right technology. Síol Feasa is my way of sharing that, freely, every fortnight.
